Christmas is a time for memories, reflection, and remembering those who hold a special place in our hearts. This holiday season, the Fingal–Shedden & District Optimist Club invites our community to take part in its Angel Tree Program, a special way to honour and remember loved ones.

The Angel Tree will be on display at the Shedden Library from November 13 to December 31, 2026.

For a $10 donation, you can purchase an angel to be placed on the Christmas tree in memory of someone special. Each angel represents a cherished memory and provides an opportunity for our community to come together during the holiday season.

How to Participate

If you would like to have an angel placed on the tree, forms are available at the Shedden Library or through the Fingal–Shedden & District Optimist Club Facebook page.

Completed forms and payment can be mailed or dropped off at:

Steve Garvin

9476 Union Road, Shedden, ON N0L 2E0

Cheques should be made payable to: Fingal–Shedden & District Optimist Club

E-transfer is also available:

Please use the password Angel and include both the angel's name and the payee's name in the comment box.

Giving Back to Our Community

Beyond remembering those we have lost, the Angel Tree Program also makes a difference for those growing up in our community. Proceeds will go towards supporting youth activities in our community.

By participating, you are helping the Optimist Club continue its commitment to supporting local youth and creating opportunities for the next generation.

This Christmas, consider purchasing an angel in memory of someone special. Together, we can honour memories, celebrate community, and make a positive difference.

The Fingal–Shedden & District Optimist Club thanks everyone for their support!
